Brighton Dance Network is changing its name!

In January 2019 your local volunteer dance organisation will become Sussex Dance Network.

As Sussex Dance Network, we will continue to provide the same exciting programme of classes, workshops, performances, and professional opportunities for our members, and we will be evolving new work and expanding our programme of work into the Sussex area.

Brighton Dance Network has been connecting our community of dance artists from the bottom up for the past five years. We've delivered a wide range of outstanding dance programming, and we've remained committed to the artist-led grassroots approach – artists supporting each other and building networks across Brighton. Building on these successes in response to our members' needs, our programming will continue to develop and evolve new approaches to offer focussed, regional support to keep talent, opportunity, and paid work in the region. We'll grow networks of mutual support, connecting artists to venues, to professional opportunities, to training and to other artists across many platforms.

What does this mean for me?

Rest assured, all existing Brighton Dance Network members will automatically become Sussex Dance Network members. Your membership benefits remain exactly the same, and you don't need to do anything. We're now planning our 2019 programme of NEW innovative events and opportunities. We're very excited to announce this as soon as we can, so watch this space!

In the meantime, join us for our Annual General Meeting on Friday 14th December, 7.30pm at Phoenix Brighton (10-14 Waterloo Place, BN2 9NB). This is a chance to connect, to network and to celebrate everything we've achieved together in the past five years! There's no need to book, just come along and be part of the new development of the Network into 2019 and beyond.
